We must perform maintenance work on fans that are located on our roofs and many of them are installed less than 2 meters away from the edge of the roof. This situation is not compliant and obliges workers to be restrained using various personal protective equipment (harness, lanyards, belts, etc.). Certified anchoring points are inexistent or were not planned when the facility was built and the equipment installed initially. When several workers must be restrained at the same location at the same time, it becomes difficult and complicated to perform the work properly and to avoid getting entangled in the various restraining equipment used.
